Happy Easter

Holy Saturday:
This year we took Samantha to her second Easter Vigil liturgy. Last year she fell asleep through most of it, but since she is a bit more active this year we were a bit worried. She did really well though. We sat next to the Honey Family so Samantha could be next to her Godmother and Jack and John sat with us as well so Samantha had a lot of people to play with if she got sick of her parents. She didn't fuss a lot at all and seemed to actually enjoy being part of the liturgy. We were very proud of her.

The liturgy was long (as usual) but really great. There were 17 baptisms (praise God) but the excited family sitting behind us stood the entire time, so we couldn't see any of them. We heard a lot of splashing though!

Samantha loved singing along with the hymns, even if she didn't know the words, and she especially loved the reception afterward. She could run just about anywhere she wanted to and enjoyed spinning around in circles and getting dizzy. We were blown away with how much energy she had. It was after 11pm and she was still going strong. Don't worry, she fell soundly asleep on the way home.

Easter Sunday:
After all of the excitement on Saturday, Samantha slept a bit late on Sunday morning. When she did get up there was a very full Easter basket waiting for her. She had a blast opening up Easter eggs and playing with the grass in the basket. Check out the pictures and below:

Samantha immediately grabbed her Elmo Easter eggs.
Ooooh. One of her favorite things: Buddy Fruits.
Playing with Easter Basket grass. YAY! The Easter Bunny was good to Samantha
