Sammy's Busy Day!

Samantha had her nine month well visit yesterday! I can hardy believe that is has been nine months already, Time has flown by and our little girls is growing up so fast.

At the doctors office Sammy hammed it up for the staff and quickly had them wrapped around her little fingers. She's gotten really good at this! Once we got into her examination room she quickly found herself in the mirror and bursted into laughter. It was so funny and it made every one come into the little room to see what was so funny. I guess that one way of getting the doctor to come in sooner, neat trick Sammy!
It was by far the quickest visit at a doctors office we've had, we were in and out in less then twenty minutes! with NO shots!!! it was amazing. All they did was weight and measure and normal physical exam...all was good! She is just shy of 12 lbs. and is 24in long. we ar4 moving closer to the normal curve with her weight so the doctor was very pleased! He was also amazed at how well she was doing and told us he wouldn't be surprised if she was just about walking at her next ONE year visit!!I can't believe she will be one in three months!!!

After the doctors office Sammy and I continued our day with a walk to the packaging store for some stamps and coffee at bean traders. We also hit the Harris Teeter for some more healthy baby snacks. We found some yummy veggie sticks!!! On our way out we walked right under the balloons and Sammy let out a big squill of delight. So now we had snacks and a balloon, even better. I tied the balloon to her stroller and she just looked up at it for the longest time! On our walk back home it was being battered by the wind and bumping into the stroller and making the thumping balloon noise which made Samantha laugh!

We ended our day with dinner at Sal's Pizza with Grandma and Grandpa! Sammy enjoyed eating pizza crust! It was a big hit and lots of fun to watch her eat it. She even showed of her crawling and made several people stop and smile. On our way out the door Joe, the owner, decided it was time to give Samantha her first lolly pop! he let her choose two at of the basket and unwrapped one for her to suck on before we left the store. Her eyes lit up so big and Joe was delighted to spoil yet another child with sugary treats right before bed time! We let her have until we got her in her car seat. She did not want to let me have it so I told her she could have it back when we got home. I was hoping she would still be awake so I could take a picture of her with her first lolly, but she was fast asleep.
